Our Favorite Restaurants in Paris: Part 1! - Cafe Le Procope

Updated: Jun 28, 2020

A recommendation (and sentimental tidbit) from Marshall Hockett, author of Tripping 1975:

"Since Debbie and I frequently go to Paris, we thought it might be fun to share our favorite restaurants to compare with yours. Reservations would be an excellent idea. When you go to Paris, we strongly suggest you spend an evening at Cafe Le Procope. https://www.procope.com/…

It's located in the Rue de L'Aancienne Comedie which is in the 6th arrondissement. It claims it is the oldest cafe in Paris since 1686 and was frequented by many famous People such as Ben Franklin,Voltaire, Napoleon, etc. As you walk in the front door, be sure to look on your left to see Napoleon's famous hat. It's also very well known as the restaurant where I announced our engagement to my parents. Make sure to get the French onion soup!"
